I thought John was a fabulous tutor; the structure of the tutoring sessions was excellent. Past tutors have focused more on getting homework done and answering specific questions vs. actually "teaching" Ryan. By including a "pre-learning" portion in each session of looking ahead to the next chapter, Ryan was better able to assimilate his teacher's lessons. He got an A in calculus!! I would absolutely recommend John and wish we had used him earlier for previous math classes!

I can't overstate how much you helped me build up my base in math. Our tutoring sessions were a (rare!) calming force in the pressure cooker of Palo Alto high schools. It was immensely relieving to know that even if a problem or concept seemed impossibly baroque, I could always count on your patient guidance to get through it.
